Medical Mayhem

In June, we had 2 weeks of medical mahem as a team from Lee University brought the thunder! We saturated the area with medical coverage by hosting brigades in 7 different villages, including a 2 night, 3 day stay in Las Minas. It was incredible to finally see medical, dental, optical, and community education all going at the same time. Their team comprised of Lee students, alumni practitioners, faculty and family was an incredible work force. We were able to dig-in and minister to many of the hurting people of our area.

One of the highlights of their stay was the time spent camping in the “Mountains of the Burnt Monkey” also known as the village of Las Minas. Where the team camped out in tents for 3 days and ministered to an incredible amount of God’s people. The  team really gave it their all and even thought is was probably the most difficult part of the trip, we hope it was the most rewarding.
We were so impressed with their work ethic and their hearts to serve that we have invited them back again to serve with us next summer. Honduras won’t be the same again, that’s for sure, and neither will we! We had a blast Lee, and we can’t wait to do it again!
