This past few days we have had the privilege of hosting a team of businessmen from Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The team was led by our good friend Julio Melara, and he was accompanied by 6 guys with the biggest hearts we have ever seen AND their children!
It was such an honor to have a chance to plant the seed of missions into the hearts of the next generation! With their help and generous hearts we were able to bless the 16 kids of the El Paraiso kindergarten with backpacks full of school supplies!
They also helped us distribute brand new school uniform shirts, school shoes and socks donated by Tonia Stutes, Burhman Gates, and Neighborhood Ministries Inc. These items were given to the 25 students in the far away village of Los Planes.
We also had the privilege of hosting a field day at the elementary school in El Paraiso and blessing the teachers there with school supplies for their classrooms. Our field day consisted of lots of games and prizes, health and hygiene education, and a message of hope and inspiration delivered by Julio Melara.
It was an incredibly full 2 days with the team from Healing Place Church, that included Lead Pastor Dino Rizzo, Missions Pastor Mike Haman and a team full of guys who are all about furthering the Kingdom of God. They are truly being a healing place for a hurting world when they are all about His business.
