Surprise Christmas

(copied from old blog. entry dated: 12/27/2007 10:52:00 AM)
Our kids, Samuel and Rachel, had been praying that we would able to fly home for Christmas. Wendy would check on internet specials all the time, it almost became an obsession. Every day she would log-on and be online for hours thinking that at any minute they would post an offer too good to pass up, or to be true. I’m an optimist but I kept telling  her that for Christmas this never happens. Maybe in January. Anyhow we have had so much activity and a quiet Christmas in the Jungle would be welcomed to me.
When my kids pray things happen.
One afternoon Wendy had found the “Special” she had been looking for and she sprinted across the road from the place we log-on to tell me she had found it. When I heard the price per ticket I said, “Buy them, girl!”
So here we are. I was a bit out of schedule. We had to fly out of San Pedro Sula at 2:00 am and we landed in Fort Lauderdale right before sunrise on the 24th of December. But that did not keep us from being so thankful. We are home and we spent Christmas in Orlando with family.
We will be here till January the 18th. We have plans to rest. It will be interesting to see what happens.
