The Younger’s Next Big Adventure

This month we had to say one of the most difficult goodbyes of our ministry career of twenty years. If you have been to Rio Viejo in the last six years you know Heather, our right hand everything. If you have been in the past four years you know Mark, her husband, and our right hand everything else. If you have been in the past two years you know Will, their son, our jungle-baby, the one who stole our hearts. They have been such an integral part of this place for the past six years, sharing the vision, sharing the load, helping us reach goals and see dreams become reality.

For the past year they have prayed, and had asked us to pray with them, about the next step in their lives, what plans God had for their family. Selfishly we only wanted to pray for them to stay, but we knew that we would have to be prepared to let them go if God called them elsewhere. This month we sent them off on their next great adventure. They moved back to Louisiana where they will continue the work of Mark’s parents in the wholesale nursery business. We have no doubt that God will bless the work of their hands! Heather will continue to work with Healing Hands Global building new websites, working with updates & media, and being a liaison for us on that side of things. Already she is planning a fund raiser and she just arrived. She will be making trips to Rio Viejo, and if we have our way, the jungle-baby will be tagging along.

Thank you Mark, Heather and Will for giving your heart to missions, for pouring so much of yourselves into this place and the people we serve. You will hold a special place in our hearts for the rest of our lives. We pray God’s richest blessings over your lives, your family and all that you put your hands to. We love you. We miss you. And we THANK YOU. May this next adventure be as exciting and rewarding as the one we shared together!
