City Hope Construction

If you’ve been following our progress over the last few years, you know that we have been working steadily on the expansion project which includes new houses, a children’s center, and a much needed hospital remodel. These projects have been ongoing and made possible through the help of many incredible teams who have sacrificed their time, talents, and efforts. City Hope Church has been faithful in sending construction teams down and this year was no exception. In April/May we had a group full of the hardest workers who tackled a variety of projects and worked right up until the last minute.

The Children’s Center that was began last November reached the point of being painted. This group had the big task of painting the entire building, inside and out. They also were able to do lots of finishing touches in and around the hospital as we have still been working on the missing pieces after our big roof project. They hung up curtains and glove boxes, painted the front of the hospital and gate, and worked out in the new family housing.

Towards the end of the week they took an evening to go to Richard’s resort for dinner and a swim. These guys know how to work hard and play hard! While they were there, Taylor, one of the team members, asked Dr. Martin to baptize him in the river. What a beautiful moment of surrender amidst a week of self sacrifice and service. Praise God! Thank you City Hope Church for propelling us forward in the expansion project and completing so many tasks around the property.
